I am a senior teacher in the ISHTA lineage, initiated as a Sadhaka Yogini by Kavi Yogiraj Alan Finger.
ISHTA Yoga is the integrated science of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda and means that which resonates with the individual spirit
I began my studies and practice over 25yrs ago and have over 1.000hrs of training with a 500hr E-RYT through YA.
I've always had a love for deep rest, so when I was introduced to the quiet side of yoga, I was instantly drawn to learn more.
I've specialized in Yoga Nidra, Meditation and Restorative Yoga for many years now and as I have aged, I have experienced the value of these practices even more! They are often left out, so I love to help you learn how to make space for them in accessible ways.
My experience of a sudden and horrific perimenopause journey led me to research how I could help myself. My body needed something different and I needed to make some changes.
I discovered that I needed more strength and mobility work and some serious support with my hormones.
I now work with mobility in most of my active practices and preparation for meditations, I include more stress reduction techniques into everything I do (on and off the mat!) and I found Hormone Yoga Therapy (HY), which I now share with women all around the globe.
I am 1 of 3 women, in all of Canada, to be certified in HYT by the 96 yr old creator, Dinah Rodrigues.
I have spent over 1,000 hours in trainings, studies, explorations, assisting, and teaching with Yogirajs Alan Finger, Sarah Platt-Finger, Wendy Newton, Peter Ferko, Mona Anand, Ayurvedic doctors and many others along the way.
All of the teachings and wisdom that has been passed down through these teachers, lineages and years, I share with you so that you may also have these beautiful tools that have been passed down, to still your mind, remember who you are and find grace as you navigate this wild dance of life.
